Belfast International Airport - Silver Command
The challenge: to substantially improve the Airport's command facilities and create effective links between command centres.
The solution: To install SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards and Sympodiums in both Gold and Silver command centres. This has not only provided a platform for effective briefings and de-briefings but also enabled centralisation of video feeds in order to access and review incidents, with the added ability to annotate them. The solution allows for joint briefings for all the agencies involved in an operation, and for the Silver Commander to view up-to-date pen pictures of each location at any point during an incident.

Essex Police
The challenge: to provide interactive training enabling officers to compare theoretical examples with real-life scenarios through the force call log and to provide a detailed electronic record of the training delivered to officers,with training sessions (including
additions during sessions) saved to files within the force’s intranet.
The solution: to install SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards with Bridgit, SMART's data conferencing software. Linking through the whiteboard into the Force’s intranet gave trainers a wider range of resources available to them. Essex police were also able to establish a communications and briefing package for the force’s Gold Command Team to run major operations using linked SMART Boards at three of the force’s key sites.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue
The challenge: to ensure continuing improvement in HFRS’s ability to react to emergency incidents and provide full interaction with software applications at the touch of a finger, easily accessing complex data i.e. GIS mapping.
The solution: to install SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards and SMART Board overlays and use them with their satellite link in order to gain a high speed data link from the incident command unit to any suitable receiving centre. The solution has enabled effective communications between bronze, silver and gold command. In addition, the solution has createe a detailed audit trail of the decision making process, with all information being time and date stamped.
