Steljes have been authorised by SMART Technologies to supply ‘Competitor Product Software Licenses’ in accordance with qualification criteria. These licenses unlock the complete functionality of SMART Board software so it can be used on competitor interactive whiteboards or other interactive technology products.

Licenses cost £300 each and every competitor product i.e. interactive whiteboard, that will use SMART Board software must have its own license.

The ‘Competitor Product Software License’ scheme is managed by Steljes Ltd on behalf of SMART Technologies Inc.

The Competitor Product Software License scheme is an exclusive offer and is subject to qualification guidelines. SMART does not guarantee to supply the product to all applicants.

SMART Board software was designed to be used on a SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Neither Steljes or SMART offer any guarantee regarding the performance of SMART Board software on other interactive technology.
 
FAQ Section

Is my school eligible for a Competitor Product Software License?
The program was created with existing SMART customers in mind and as such there are some qualification criteria. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis using information provided in the application form.

If a school has a mixed hardware environment but can demonstrate a commitment to using the SMART platform, they will be more likely to qualify for the upgrade.

In order to automatically qualify a school must have in excess of 75% SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards in its total interactive whiteboard holding.

If a school has less than 75% SMART Board interactive whiteboards then the decision to qualify for the upgrade will be based on:

• Commitment to purchase additional SMART Boards in the foreseeable future.
• The length of time between purchase of competitor boards and applying for licenses.

Please note that the criteria above are used as a guide and each application will be individually assessed. SMART do not guarantee that users of its technology will be eligible for the program.

How does my school apply for a Competitor Product Software License?
Please fill in the application form (MS Word and PDF versions available) and send back to Steljes via email/ fax/ post.

After submitting your application you will be contacted within 48 hours with a decision.  If the application is successful you will be asked to confirm the order and activation codes to unlock the software will be emailed to you.

What do I receive when I order a Competitor Product Software License?
After confirming your order you will receive an email containing the necessary amount of License Keys. These are unique activation codes (also known as a Serial Numbers) that are used to unlock SMART Board software for use with competitor products.

The email will also contain instructions on how to activate (unlock) the software.  If you need to download the latest version of SMART Board software this can be done from the SMART Tech website.

How much does a Competitor Product Software License Cost?
The price of each license is £300 plus VAT.

Please note that every competitor product e.g. interactive whiteboard, using SMART Board software must have its own license.
