Survey reveals 83 per cent of corporate trainers want interactive technologies in their training rooms
The survey, conducted by Steljes, the technology pioneering organisation, further reveals that corporate trainers are frustrated by budget restraints that prevent them from realising the benefits that this technology can provide.
Trainers were quizzed about their usage and opinions of learning technologies, and were unanimous in their support of the benefits of interactive whiteboards. In fact, 60 per cent said that budget was the only factor in preventing them from using one. Over 48 per cent of those surveyed, cited that they would like to see new technologies including digital pens and interactive ‘walls’ in the new year.
“Steljes has been the exclusive representative of SMART Technologies in the UK for over ten years. The survey results confirm feedback from our own customers and highlight the demand for interactive whiteboards as well as other interactive technologies to improve training performance and benefits,” said Gary Dixon, Business Development Manager at Steljes.
Of those already using an interactive whiteboard, the SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard was the top choice, making up 60 per cent of the interactive boards used in the corporate market. Respondents who do not use an IWB recognised the SMART brand as being the leader in the interactive whiteboard market, with 69 per cent of those questioned more aware of SMART than any other brand.
Steljes and SMART Technologies will be exhibiting at the Learning Technologies show held at Olympia 2 later this month (30-31st Jan), on stand number 14.
