SMART Technologies showcases next generation learning at work
SMART Technologies, the industry pioneer and market leader in interactive technologies, will demonstrate how its latest learning and development solutions can help counter the impact of the economic downturn on training budgets on their stand (14). SMART’s next generation of learning solutions are proven to reduce carbon footprint and travel costs - benefits which are particularly resonate today’s turbulent economy, as increased awareness of environmental impact and the economic downturn are both affecting training budgets and how often people can travel.
Ensuring consistency of training standards - whether training is conducted on a local and/or a global basis – has always been a major issue for trainers. At the Learning Technologies show, SMART will be demonstrating their new corporate software SMART Meeting Pro – designed to help simplify long distance learning and SMART Hub SE – a stand alone appliance for trainers seeking a solution with basic whiteboarding and data conferencing. These interactive technologies enable the learning and development professional to improve the quality, efficiency and consistency of training, whether all the participants are in the same room or at disparate locations.
SMART Meeting Pro provides advanced whiteboarding and data conferencing capability for trainers allowing them to conduct training sessions with participants whether they are in the same room or in disparate locations, greatly reducing the need to travel to a particular location to attend a training session. Combined with single SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard or interactive displays, SMART Hub SE allows users to connect multimedia devices like DVD players, and annotate over any application and save their notes.
These technologies are helping organisations to create a more dynamic training environment where knowledge can be shared and ideas generated in real time, across multiple locations, benefiting the increasing number of organisations that are working across multiple sites on a national, European and global basis. Using a number of case studies, Malcolm Stewart, training expert from Steljes, will present a seminar exploring how interactive technology is transforming training, which will take place between 12:30 and 1:00pm on Thursday 29 January in the exhibition presentation theatre. SMART Technologies is exclusively distributed in the UK by Steljes Ltd.
Malcolm Stewart, Business Development Manager, Steljes, commented: “Whatever sector you are in, having the right technology is vital to helping you extract maximum value from your training investment. Working collectively and interactively facilitates better collaboration as a group, effective pooling of ideas, and the ability to record notes in digital ink to share with fellow trainees. Products from SMART Technologies really do make training sessions easy to present and hard to forget.”
Presentations will be given on SMART Technologies stand (14) every 30 minutes to demonstrate how SMART products are redefining the way organisations conduct training on a local and global basis; increasing efficiencies, enhancing interactivity and improving retention of information, as well as reducing travel costs and associated impact on the environment. Delegates visiting the stand will also have the opportunity to win an Airliner Wireless Slate.
