Rachel Jones to speak at Innovation in Education conference
Rachel Jones, Head of Education at Steljes, will be speaking at the Innovation in Education conference at the Park Plaza Hotel in London on 9th November on the future of pedagogy.
Organised by the Guardian and the Innovation Unit, the one day conference will explore means for creating an education system that will enable our children and young people to meet the high learning challenges of the 21st century. This event brings together the leading experts in technology, education, strategy and industry to explore how and why innovation is imperative to the creation of a genuine 21st Century education. The conference will go beyond the local, to learn lessons from across the globe and collectively contribute to the formation of a powerful strategy that will enable genuine 21st century education.
Jones comments ”Steljes is heavily invested in the BSF initiative with a dedicated resource of educational specialists who advise local authorities, government strategists, schools and colleges on every level of educational need. Through our ability to conceptualise and characterise how a range of solutions can help improve learning and teaching, Steljes has won 14 out of 17 BSF wave 1 projects. As new technologies emerge we embrace their potential to advance current pedagogy and ensure that they have a real impact within the classroom and beyond.” Over the last twenty-one years, Steljes has been instrumental in bringing innovative technologies to the education sector - most notably through its exclusive relationship with SMART Technologies.
As technology sponsor, Steljes is facilitating the use of response technologies to enable delegates to interact with the Chairman and feed their ideas into the sessions. Steljes will also be demonstrating the latest touch technologies and 3G digital signage solutions in the break out zone. Visitors to the zone will be able to see how the SMART interactive classroom helps educators to personalise the learning experience whilst providing whole class teaching.
