Interactive whiteboards proven to help increase adoption of The National Intelligence Model
AIMTech, the largest Public Safety Information Management Group in Europe, will present their findings on how interactive whiteboards can facilitate the adoption of the National Intelligence Model . Alistair Norman of AIMTech will deliver a special seminar at ACPO-APA 2008, the largest and most influential policing event of the year, at 11am on Thursday 26th June.
As the exclusive technology distributor of SMART Technologies in the UK, Steljes has been providing SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards, as well as other technology solutions, to the Police and other emergency planning organisations for several years. Steljes commissioned the Leeds University Business School’s research group, AIMTech to conduct the study, working in close partnership with a number of professional organisations such as The National Police Improvement Agency, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and The Association of Chief Police Officers.
The research examined the effectiveness of interactive technology in emergency planning, command and control and briefing scenarios and how police can use the technology to lead to a greater adoption of the National Intelligence Model.
SMART Technologies will be exhibiting on stand A16. Visitors to the stand will be able to discover how SMART products deliver clear benefits to a variety of routine briefing, operational planning, command & control and training scenarios. They will also be able to collect a copy of the research presented at the AIMTech seminar.
Exclusive to ACPO-APA there is an offer of a 50% discount on an onsite SMART training course as well as a free copy of SMART Ideas™ concept mapping software with every purchase of a SMART Board interactive whiteboard.
SMART training courses are designed to be the easiest way to realise the full potential of interactive whiteboards. Specialised SMART tutors travel to the client and in a single session explain easy techniques to enhance the immense capabilities of the whiteboard and really bring training to life.
The National Intelligence Model (NIM) is 'A Model for Policing' that ensures information is fully researched, developed and analysed to provide intelligence, which enables senior managers to provide strategic direction, make tactical resourcing decisions about operational policing and manage risk
